Bio

Jim Findlay is a retired entrepreneur and singer/songwriter with three albums to his credit. He is working on a fourth.

Jay is semi-retired after a career as a  restaurateur, counselor, psychiatric evaluator, and professional wrestler. He holds a degree in philosophy and a masters in counseling and behavioral studies. His writing credits include medical journal articles and a series of contributions to The Rocky Mountain Oyster, a heavily circulated adult newspaper based in Denver, Colorado.

After retiring in 2006 from a twenty-one year career in non-commercial radio, we branched out from songwriting with our memoir, We Never Got to be Zombies, which was published in 2019.

One of our parodies, Flush an M-80 Down the Toilet Bowl, was selected as the Pick Hit of the Week on the Dr. Demento radio show. Two other songs made that program’s regular play list.

Our screenplay, Pirahua, was a finalist in the horror script contest Screencraft. We have recently completed a thriller novel, The Ice, and are currently soliciting agents and publishers.

We have been members of WUTA for about six years.
