Joe Pfeffer is a psychologist who has pursued the avocation of writing during the course of his professional career. He has focused his journalistic/literary efforts on equestrian sports, with articles in leading magazines such as Saddle & Bridle and The National Horseman, along with essays in such publications as The Advocate and The Riverfront Times.

Currently Joe concentrates on long-form fiction, with several unpublished novels to his credit. His work tends toward romantic adventure, with psychological nuance, comic interaction, and colorful human portrayal. His current project is a murder mystery inspired by the work of Dashiell Hammett and based on larger-than-life characters from the high-stakes world of showing horses.
